As a NGO, the AIDC is working with popular organisations and social movements in South and Southern Africa for equity and social change. The network focuses on problems of external and internal debt, international trade, finance and macro economic policy. Therefore it implents an integrated strategy of research, popular education, public information and publications, lobbying and advocacy towards developing alternative strategies and policies that can address the problem of poverty, unemployement and social inequality.
Aims and achievements
AIDC aims to contribute to the development of national, regional and international chalenges to the currently dominant global economic system implementing an integrated strategy of research, popular education, campaign and coalition building, information production and dissemination. It also aims to promote the development of alternatives that ensure the fundamental socio-economic transformation through the empowerment and mobilisation of progressive organisations and popular social movements.
