APF is a platform of fighting organisations in search of a better life for the working class, women, youth and all disadvantaged people. Therefore, It is against the programme to privatise basic services. The platform is involved in struggle for free basic services, social housing, free quality education, land for all and environmental justice.
Some of its affiliated organisations are the Soweto Electricity Crisis Committe (SECC), the Kathorus Concerned Residents (KCR), the Working Class Co-ordinating Comittee (WCCC), the Tembisa Concerned Residents Comittee, the Daveyton Concerned Peace Committee Civic, the Kwa Thema Unemployed Organisation, etc.
Aims and achievements
The APF aims to improve life conditions for workers and all marginalized people of South Africa. It is fighting the neoliberal globalization, the basic services privatisation and the NEPAD programme. To carry forward the struggle, the APF used to call for mass actions such as marches, boycott, civil disobedience, press conferences and publications, etc.
