Globalise Resistance is an activist networking group, which strives to build and maintain communications and co-ordinated action among grassroots activists and organisations. We have a central organising goal of unity-in-diversity among the anti-globalisation, environmental, anti-privatisation and human rights movements.
Globalise Resistance involves people from many political
and campaigning organisations, and many from none, and does not subscribe to any distinct ideology. Participants are unified by a common belief in values such as human realisation, freedom, welfare, equality, environmental responsibility, democracy and peace, and by a common objection to the debasement of these by current local, national and global structures of dominance and profit making.
Our resistance takes many forms. Our movement includes Christians campaigning for debt relief, environmentalists opposing GM food, trade unionists fighting privatisation in their workplaces and students demanding that education be free to all.
